Kids Holiday Guide In The Cotswolds
A Cotswold Summer
This year we decided to stay local and go to the Cotswolds for a final Summer Holiday with the children before our eldest starts school.
The Cotswolds is a fabulous place to visit at all time of the year but something about summer makes it more special. All the animals are out in the fields , the sun in shining on the rolling fields and everyone is out dressed up in colourful summer clothes.
Here are some of our top five recommendations for places to visit in the Cotswolds with children
Cotswold Farm Park - Kids can feed lambs, hold chicks, stroke rabbits and guinea pigs in the Discovery Barn as well as the goats, pigs and cows in the outside area. Children enjoy the outdoor play areas with amazing set up including bouncy pillows, zip wires, aerial and quarry play zones, swings, sandpits, and pedal tractors.

Cotswold Wildlife Park - Has the most amazing selection of animals from Rhinos, Wolves giraffes which you can interact with on the walkway. It also has a petting farm, with daily feeding events. The penguins in the walled garden area are just magical. The Children absolutely love the Sky maze playground and spend hours there

Fairy Tale Farm - is all about the children and having the best time. It has several magical themed areas for children we would say up to 12. From fairy gardens, dinosaur park and a mermaid area, children love to explore every area of the farm. At the end of the maze is a fantastic small farm with lamas, pigs, rabbits and donkeys which you can buy food to feed them.

Daylesford Organic Farm shop - While yes this is more for adults than children, our children love going here the love the maze of gardens, shop full of food, all the water features and the bakery which is summer also serves ice cream. The outside courtyard area also does a lovely lunch with fantastic pizza’s

Model Village (Bourton -on-the-Water) - As it is named is a fantastic miniature village where everything is made in tiny form. Even small details such as front doors, village signs and tiny vegetable gardens have been made with so much attention to detail. A great activity to do if visiting Bourton which also has an amazing car museum as well as many restaurants, cafe’s and bakeries.
